Candidates for the position of First Team coach were interviewed last week and an appointment is expected to be confirmed shortly.

Chairman Phil Wallace said "Graham and John interviewed several people for the position and we expect to confirm the appointment in the next few days. Our criteria has been high and so has the quality of the applicants".

"This is a key position for us as not only must the appointed coach share our view on the way the game should be played at Stevenage, but he must have experience at the right level and a considerable talent for improving players through his coaching. Graham has a hard choice ahead of him as more than one applicant meets this criteria. We've already appointed a goalkeeper coach and a fitness coach that Graham has chosen and we're now looking closely at the rehab side of the club. We're hoping to announce the full managerial team later this week"
